The Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management provides students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international tourism and hospitality industry, and a knowledge of the underlying principles involved.
The programme combines practical, career-focused learning with essential management concepts, giving students the tools to thrive in operational roles while building a strong foundation for potential career progression. The programme provides the practicality needed for the workplace with the theory needed to advance in management roles in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Minimum Age: A minimum age of 18 at enrollment. Please note the maximum age to apply for a Swiss student visa in Canton Obwalden is 29 years old.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum B1 level (Common European Framework of Reference).
Exemptions apply if English was the language of instruction in the applicant’s most recent academic programme. In such cases, formal test results may not be required.
Accepted proof of English proficiency may include:
IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, or equivalent B1-level results OR;
Confirmation from the previous institution stating that the programme was taught in English OR;
A successful interview or internal assessment (where applicable) OR;
Hold a regulated academic or vocational qualification at Level 3 (e.g. BTEC or A Level). Equivalence to be evaluated through NARIC or
Evidence of at least 3-year work experience in the hospitality and/or tourism industry ideally with some work experience at a supervisory level and preferably school leaving certificate.

The Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management will enable students to apply for jobs in hospitality and tourism organisations as hotels, travel agencies, resorts, clubs, restaurants, cruise lines, contract catering, retail outlets, fast food restaurants, and many more.
